A vest is a great way to take an outfit from winter into spring without any muss or fuss. I personally love vests and scarves to transition outfits into different seasons; they are versatile, comfortable, and can be worn with just about anything. For this look, I love the contrast of the utilitarian clothing and the vixen makeup. Red immediately glams up any look, but make sure to find a color that compliments your skin tone – some women need reds that are more brown and some need reds that are more purple or pink. It totally depends on your skin. My best advice is to go into a store where they have samples of lipstick available and to brush them onto your hand. You can move around the store and look at them in different lights to see which compliments you the best. Just don’t forget which ones you used!

This casual look would be great for running errands on a Saturday. I love the contrast of the light brown booties and the metallic clutch; all the different fabrics and textures in this look work cohesively to create a lovely aesthetic. The shirt (which I adore) comes in several different colors and runs from size 0-3X! Modcloth.com is a great website for women’s clothing because they make an effort to tailor their site to so many sizes, styles, and ages; I highly recommend checking it out! These army green skinny jeans look great with the booties, but if that’s not your cup of tea, a straight leg army green pant with gold flats would look gorgeous as well. I love the simple gold jewelery with this look – wearing more jewelry and the vest would be too much visually. However, if you lose the vest, a statement necklace would look great. I didn’t put the price of the vest in the post for two reasons: first, the vest is real fur. I don’t condone purchasing new fur (just a personal preference) and I couldn’t find a vest that had the look I wanted that was synthetic. Secondly, the vest is over $600, and let’s be real… we don’t have time for that. I just wanted to show an example of a great look, and my search for the perfect faux vest will continue!

I hope you are all having a fabulous week. Until next time! Xo!
