Color Queen
Man, oh man. This clutch. I have had this clutch saved in my collection of items to use for weeks and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to feature it – the mixed colors and textures are absolutely killer. It’s awesome for every season, and at $60 isn’t insanely priced for a line that usually runs in the $200 range. Le sigh.
This is a great outfit for work. The trouser pants are a nice length – not capri, not long – that elongates every body shape. The key to wearing these pants is to find a pair that doesn’t flair out too much at the ankle; that shape is outdated and not especially flattering. I find that looking for pants that fit well in the waist and then having the leg taken in is a great alternative so that you can adjust how the pants fit. Wearing heels also helps to lengthen the legs with these type of pants because you see the full ankle and front of the foot, drawing the eye all the way down and creating length. With pants this fitted, I like to wear loose tops to balance out the shapes. This white blouse from ASOS is a great staple piece for any wardrobe since it could be worn so many different ways. The buttons are a nice detail and the layering at the top makes it fancier than a basic cami. This wrap jacket looks effortless yet polished due to the belt and is a nice change from a black cardigan or jacket. A simple necklace is a nice detail that would “bling” up the outfit. Finally, with such a neutral outfit, a piece of color that pops is always a must. These fuchsia pumps are a fantastic color and shape; plus they are almost identical to the Mona Suede Pumps from JCrew and are $160 less… sounds like a deal to me!
