After discovering this top, I decided that it needs to be shown with two outfits – it’s a great weight with a classic shape and would look equally fashionable for work or for a night out.
For the work outfit, I paired a yellow peplum skirt with this shirt to bring out the contrast in colors and patterns. I would tuck in this shirt and wear it very lightly bloused so that the peplum would still be prominent. Mixing prints is a great way to break away from a monotonous look, and this striped cardigan compliment both the skirt and the shirt. A pair of gold capped heels and vintage-style earrings finish this look nicely. I like the fact that each of these items could be worn with a myriad of other items; none of the items are ones that would look outdated within a couple of months.
For the second look, I paired medium wash boot cut denim jeans with the loose top. I also added a sequined blazer to dress up the outfit enough to wear out for the night. Either pair of shoes for the set could go with this outfit, but I liked the flats the best because they give a classic touch to an otherwise trendy outfit. Simple earrings are the only adornment necessary since the blazer is such a statement on its own. Finally, this bag works great with both outfits – it has enough structure to be great for work but is embellished enough to transition to night. Hope you’re all having a cheery Monday!
